UK Autistic have been working very hard the past few months on a brand new initiative that we have now finally seen come to fruition and the success is very pleasing on a personal and professional level.
We have put together a pioneering programme that we believe can be the catalyst for huge changes to the way autistic adults in particular are treated and regarded.
There is a huge void when an child becomes an adult, the services previously provided stop immediately and it's something I have been working hard to address.
This initiative is potentially the perfect demonstration of how things can be done moving forwards.... so without further ado... we have partnered with Kent Plumbers Pages Directory, Autopilot Freedom Platform and Google to put together a programme that after our first trial has been hugely successful. We helped with the training and employment of 12 adults with autism to collate a directory, from start to finish and in the coming days you'll be able to see it in all it's glory. It's been a night and day effort it feels like... emotionally draining at times but we have all learnt an awful lot from it and it's all been positive. I am considering releasing a full series of the assessments from the point of view that those who had no real understanding of autism had some of the most wonderful things to say... from those who worked alongside our recruits to the management and owners at the tech companies, the tutors who asissted with our new qualifications (we are all now Google Certified, even me!) and the recruits themselves. What was a lovely gesture at the end of the 12 weeks training was that our neurotypical staff who had worked in partnership with an autistic adult through the training (we took on 12 neurotypical and 12 autistic adults) agreed they'd learnt so much and felt they were able also to help their colleagues in other ways, for example with their first Wages, they all clubbed together to provide an AAC Device for a non verbal child or young adult they'd never met and probably never would... and this is something they want to do every month from now on... which is delighful and particularly as that's one of the things I have worked so hard in my spare time to be able to do by selling the Autism Raffle. WE ARE ROLLING THIS OUT NATIONWIDE AND WILL BE SHORTLY ASKING FOR THJOSE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING TO MAKE CONTACT.

A bit more info about our business.... we don't have a website of our own as such because we more often than not will be representing our clients and we may post updates on their own website but there is no sense in having our own really other than as a way of being verified by the blooming payment processor!

Hello, this is just a very quick introduction to what I call Good Cause Central Store. It's the home of the Good Cause Club, a Membership platform that benefits the Good Causes promoting it. It allows them to build an ongoing monthly income and gives their supporters excellent value for money without the Good Cause having to worry about content, hosting, web design, maintenance or membership and all the things that go hand in hand with operating a membership including all of the compliance and regulatory issues that are very time consuming and even a bit daunting if you're new to them. Fortunately our team are highly skilled and experienced Third Sector and business professionals and we ensure that the Good Causes can do what they do best whilst we do likewise!
