Manitoba has issued 340 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination in its latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw, held on October 8, 2026.

The latest selection round, identified as Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #281, targeted skilled workers who may be able to contribute to Manitobas labour market and economic development.

All 340 invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, highlighting the provinces continued focus on attracting and retaining qualified workers.

According to the reported draw results, invitations were distributed across two selection categories:

▪️ Occupation-Specific Selection: 257 candidates received invitations.

▪️ Skilled Worker Pathway: 83 candidates received invitations.

▪️ Total Invitations Issued: 340

▪️ Express Entry Candidates: 103 candidates with valid Express Entry profiles were included among those invited.

The 103 Express Entry invitations were part of the overall 340 invitations, rather than additional invitations.

The draw demonstrates Manitobas continued efforts to address workforce needs by selecting candidates whose skills and employment experience align with provincial priorities.

The October 8 draw reflects Manitobas ongoing strategy of supporting its labour market through targeted immigration.

By issuing 257 invitations through occupation-specific selection, the province continues to emphasize the importance of attracting skilled professionals who can help address workforce demands.

The additional 83 invitations through the Skilled Worker pathway further demonstrate Manitobas commitment to retaining eligible workers who have established connections to the province.

Through the MPNP, Manitoba can nominate eligible foreign nationals for Canadian permanent residence, subject to federal immigration requirements.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is an immigration pathway designed to help the province attract and retain skilled workers, international graduates, and other eligible applicants who can contribute to its economy.

The program allows Manitoba to select individuals based on factors such as employment experience, qualifications, language proficiency, and their ability to establish themselves economically in the province.

Successful applicants who receive provincial nominations may proceed with the appropriate federal permanent residence application process through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
