Oak house sign I carved for the Grandparents. They seemed very happy with it. I was also quite happy considering I never do any carving work. I made it with a 1/4 inch router and neatened up with various chisels. The black paint disguises a lot of my shortcomings. Merry Christmas from the oak house!

Turning some cherry wood blanks. A friend gave them to me after he was forced to chop the tree down because it was growing out into the pavement by his front garden. I've turned them down to remove most of the bark, cambium and sapwood. I've then dipped the end grain into wax to prevent water from escaping too quickly which causes the wood to split and crack. Should be ready to turn into its final form in 5 or 6 months once it's nicely seasoned. Not sure what I'll make with them yet.

New vanity unit, finito.
The client had a terrible mdf unit that was heavy with rot and moisture, so I made sure my design would be easier to take apart to tend to leaks. The paint is literally still wet in the photo which is why the little shelves next to the is open. I had to work with an electrician, a plumber and some marble cutters to get this over the line but I'm quite happy with the result.

Picked up some lovely oak slices from a local tree surgeon. Many thanks to for the hook up!

Looking forward to turning these into some nice bowls and lamps.

Next step is to chop and shape them ready for the drying rack. I will turn some green bowls and wax the end grains to keep splitting to a minimum.

Just put up a lovely Pau Rosa (Pau Alma) floating headboard.

I hung it with aluminium French cleats for easy removal and so I could retain a bit of lateral movement if necessary.

Amazing to work with such a beautiful material and I'm very happy with the results.

Feel free to PM if you would like a quote for something similar.

New boat bar for the Silver Wing Sailing Club in wraysbury.
Nice to give an old boat, destined for the burn pile, a new lease of life. The boat now on a plinth with 2 caster wheels and a peg leg. There's a rewired navigation light that's works on with a usb battery bank, storag under the fwd deck through a little locker door and obviously a lovely fresh paint and varnish job.
Lots of fun to work on.
