Local Small Business Owner Victimised by Manchester City Council

05 Nov 2020 from the website https://www.michael-elston.com/

Abid Halim is the proprietor of Shoe Box on Dickenson Road in Longsight. Like many small businesses, Mr. Halim is entitled to small business rates relief. However, Manchester City Council has repeatedly refused to grant it. Instead, Manchester City Council has served Mr. Halim with a Bankruptcy Petition, in spite of the fact that Mr. Halim does not owe Manchester City Council anything at all. The hearing will be on 17th November.

The amount of stupid excuses made to businesses that were refused a grant by their council is total madness.

Its a monumental problem and anyone refused a grant should send the chief executive of their council a formal complaint. Keep on and on at them until they pay up.
