I offer personalised English tuition tailored to each learner, with a strong focus on building confidence and a growth mindset. I encourage children to believe in themselves, feel comfortable making mistakes, and make steady progress.

I currently have a small number of face-to-face spaces available in Enfield, Barnet and Haringey – online lessons are available too. Fees for one-to-one: £20 – £40

Does anyone else find that children switch off quickly when spelling means copying the same word ten times or facing another worksheet? 😅

Personally, I love gamifying spelling! Games hook learners in fast, build confidence, and make new words actually stick. The best part is...kids don't even realise they're learning – they just think they're having fun 🎉

One of the most important things I teach my learners at Tower Tuition isn’t spelling, grammar, or punctuation – it’s how they think about learning.

Helping children shift their thinking from ‘I’m bad at English’ or ‘I can’t do this’ to ‘I’m not good at this *yet*’ and ‘It’s okay to make mistakes – I’m still learning’ makes a huge difference.

That shift builds confidence, resilience, and real progress – which is why encouraging a growth mindset is always at the heart of my tuition sessions.

It’s already the 2nd week back at school after that lovely Christmas break! As a parent, I know January is usually the point where we start to focus more on our child’s learning. It’s also when learning settles and little gaps in reading, writing, and spelling begin to show.

Here at Tower Tuition, I support KS1 & KS2 pupils to feel more confident and capable through 1-to-1 and small group English tuition.
