Some things take years to name. This is one of them.

I just published something I’ve been sitting with for a while. The story behind what I’ve been building, why I built it, and the pattern I had to live through more than once to finally understand.

For anyone building something of their own. Link in bio 🔗

Time never pauses, but memories do.⁣

Scrolling through my album this morning, I realised just how much is always unfolding—how much I get to do, experience, and the people I cross paths with along the way. It’s easy to forget when life moves fast, when the days blur into routines.⁣

So here’s a glimpse of March so far—moments caught somewhere between the rush and the quiet.

Growing up, I've seen firsthand the importance of our health..

Not just physical, but also mental health.

It’s why the saying, "You don’t have anything if you don’t have your health," has always resonated with me deeply.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t had my fair share of allowing life to get in the way of prioritising my health—I most definitely have.

But over the last 10 years, I've realised how naive it is to think that I've time to start:
• Tomorrow
• Once I finish this project
• As soon as I have another job
• The moment I feel ready
• When life is less crazy

Because tomorrow is NOT a given, and neither is your health.

And I know... life is demanding.

There are already so many things we have to do and take care of, and the cost of living is already expensive enough that it can feel impossible to also incorporate:

🏃‍♀️ A workout
🥗 Cooking whole foods meals
🧘‍♀️ Meditating or journaling
🚶‍♀️ Going for a walk
🤓 Working with a coach or therapist
😴 Getting a good night of sleep
🤳 Switching off
🌴 Going on a holiday
😎 Doing something that you've always wanted to do

The thing is—the risk of not taking care of yourself is so much greater than the risk you take by actually putting yourself first.

Plus, taking care of yourself and your health is not just for you.

It’s also for the loved ones around you. You take care of you, so they:
• Don’t have to worry about you
• Feel inspired to take care of themselves too
• Can lean on you when in need

All I can see and have experienced myself by doing this are positives.

Honestly, I've yet to come across someone who tells me that taking care of themselves hasn't improved their life and simultaneously that of the people around them.

So, don’t allow your health and self-care to fall off your "to-do" list.

Choose to make it a priority.

And no, it doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be a laundry list of things you need to do.

But start somewhere, with something, even if it's just for 5 minutes a day.

We often give our power away to our external environment, believing that’s where the answers lie:

“If I just move to another country, then I’ll…”

“If I just get that job, then I’ll…”

“If I just start my own business, then I’ll…”

“If I just have that body, then I’ll…”

While I don't disregard that these things can certainly change your life, they leave you thinking that change is only possible once you have those things.

That you aren’t in control of your life.

Well... I hate to break it to you, but...

1. That's not really how it works.
2. You are in control.

You see, every desire you have carries a deeper feeling.

A feeling you believe you’ll get once you achieve that desire:

• Freedom (Financial, Time, Place)
• Love
• Happiness
• Peace
• Confidence

And that part—your feelings—is entirely within your control.

Sure, it might require some work, but still, you have the power to cultivate that feeling before you achieve the external desire.

And honestly, that's where the real transformation occurs.

That’s where the magic happens.

Because once you change your internal world, you automatically change your external world.

So if you want to stop waiting, hoping for things to work out, or wondering about the how:

> Start with working on yourself <

And take back control because it’s always been yours to have 🫶.

For a long time, I crippled myself by trying to avoid others' mistakes....

There’s so much valuable and well-meaning advice out there, and it’s fantastic that we can learn from others.

However, by consuming all this information, I inadvertently created a minefield for myself:

“Don’t do/say this, because…”
“Don’t go there, because…”
“Avoid this, because…”

But here’s the thing I realised: their experiences might differ from mine and yours.

They are on their journey; I'm on mine; you are on yours.

Maybe we NEED to fall into those "traps" and make those “mistakes" to learn, grow, and level up as a person and as a business.

OR

Maybe what didn’t work for them will work for us.

We’ll never know until we try.

And I know, I’m doing the same thing here—sharing what didn’t work for me—but let the takeaway of this be:

Learn from others, but take it with a grain of salt and don’t let it paralyse you.

(Or simply disregard everything I just said and go on with your day).

In any case, keep doing what you feel called to do, even if it didn’t work for others, and keep sharing what you feel called to share (including those mistakes 😉).

In the end, this is your life, and you get to decide how you want to live it.

How much do you really trust yourself? ⁣

Something we don’t often think about, yet it plays a much bigger part in your life and business than most are aware of. ⁣

Are you actually showing up for yourself? ⁣

Are you actually honouring the promises you make with yourself? ⁣

If you focus on building trust, your confidence will automatically increase as well. ⁣

It’s like any other relationships. ⁣

If you’re with someone who doesn’t show up or honours the promises they made with you - do you feel confident in that relationship? ⁣

So ask yourself today:⁣

How much do I really trust myself?
