This is Saki in the video, he’s a PRO in Portugal 🇵🇹
And this is us practicing in 35°C heat, long grass, cones and an old and used football ⚽️❤️
There have been A LOT of sessions being called off in England recently due to the weather 🏴
And I get it, it IS hot 🥵
But here’s the thing…
If you want to be a PRO, you have to be prepared for ANY situation and conditions ✅
Therefore not training due to the weather, honestly, is NOT an excuse 🙄
Know this…
Your ‘best’ WILL fluctuate from time to time 📈
Some days, things will just click into place and you’ll feel in FLOW 🌊
Others, it might be a drag, and you’ll feel like NOTHING is working 🥺
Regardless of the weather
So here’s 3 things that we helped Saki to do, and that YOU can do in this heat:
1️⃣ Aim for quality of TECHNIQUE over constant speed and intensity ⚡️
2️⃣ Keep showing up, and doing what you can, EVEN IF you’re a 6 out of 10 💪
3️⃣ Reduce your time of sessions, but still PRACTICE. Bit by bit, day by day, the pieces will all add up 🧱
And of course, make sure you have enough WATER on board and eating the right things to get you through the session and the day 💧
Thumbs up if you’re with me for SMART work this summer 👍
