Your side hustle is your gift.
Many years ago, when I left my career as an accountant and ventured into business, I remember my husband saying something that stayed with me.
He said he didn’t see me as someone who would sell something and ask people for money.
Let alone do that consistently.
At the time, I understood what he meant. I had always been comfortable with numbers, structure, and analysis. Selling or building businesses didn’t necessarily feel like the obvious path for me.
But a few businesses later, and after exploring different ideas, I began to discover different aspects of what I genuinely loved doing in this chapter of my life.
Today, I see my side hustle very differently.
It’s not about leaving a career or stepping away from crunching numbers.
It’s about waking up each day and having meaningful conversations with people who are building things.
Talking about growth strategies.
Thinking through documentation and structure.
Working through ideas, challenges, and all the mess in between.
Some days are harder than others, as anyone building something will understand.
But overall, I feel incredibly grateful to be able to do what I do.
What started as a side hustle has become something much bigger than I expected.
And over time I’ve realised something important:
Your side hustle is your gift.
Sometimes it’s the space where you discover what you’re truly meant to build.
