There is an old saying, “If you can't express your idea in three sentences – you don’t have an idea!” One of the most important innovation skills is the ability to present a very short and clear description of a new idea.
Why is it so important?
First and obvious - it doesn't matter how good your idea is - if you don't know how to explain it. It's like having a fine wine sealed in a basement with no key.
Second, the process of constructing a pitch - automatically makes your idea better.
Thinking of a better way to explain an idea, highlights its faults, its advantages and leads us to a clearer perspective of it.
So if you have an idea which demands improvements,
all you got to do is to find the nearest elevator and start practicing.
