31 years independent.
Today we acknowledge 31 years of independence in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian people continue to face immeasurable hardship, loss, and sacrifice, it’s important to reflect that despite these challenges, Ukrainians continue to display immense bravery and strength.
We remember this particularly on this day, that is usually marked by celebrations. Victorians stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainian communities here and around the world, and I encourage everyone to reflect on the importance of self-determination and human dignity today.
