14 Oct - Day of Defenders 🇺🇦
We tend to romanticize war in films and video games. But for most it is not hanging out of helicopters with machine guns and night vision.

For these brave defenders, every day life at the front is tough, uncomfortable, monotonous.
Pain. Suffering. Loss. Sacrifice.

Here’s a picture sent to us by one of the four defenders we are supporting.
Living conditions are brutal.
Completely exposed to the elements and surviving with very little.
This is not ‘fun’ or glamorous.

On this day we recognise the sacrifice these brave men and women make and the fact that they are subjecting themselves to these conditions and putting their lives in danger for their country.

As winter approaches in Ukraine, these brave defenders desperately need thermal clothing and other crucial winter supplies.
We are raising funds to send our four friends these supplies at the end of the month.

Meet the final two brave Ukrainians we are supporting 🇺🇦
These gym buddies from -38 year old IT specialist and 27 year old CrossFit coach- have put their normal lives on hold, and at risk, to defend their country. 🇺🇦

Through the BURST BRAVE initiative, we are supporting these two bold Men and two of their friends from this same gym (that you’ve met in previous posts).

They are in urgent need of thermal clothing and other crucial supplies ahead of a brutal winter in Ukraine exposed to harsh elements on the frontlines.

Introducing our second courageous Ukrainian that we are supporting through the BRAVE initiative 🇺🇦
This Kyiv-based, 39-year-old, CrossFit enthusiast and business owner, like everyone in Ukraine, had his life torn apart overnight as they came under attack.

He has bravely put him life on hold, and in danger, to defend his country and his people 🇺🇦

He and the others we are supporting are in urgent need of thermal clothing and other crucial supplies ahead of winter in Ukraine. Conditions on the front lines are brutal, exposed to the harsh elements most of the time literally dug in a hole for weeks.
