Oh hey 👋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maybe it's just me (although 100% I know it's not), but I'm finding myself oscillating wildly between moments of extreme motivation and moments where my energy is on the floor, alongside a laundry basket of washing I cbf to put away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now is not the time to be putting undue pressure on ourselves, so every time I feel tempted to agonise over the fact that I'm not getting s**t done, I just try to give myself a tiny break. There's a difference between quiet introspection and self-indulgent wallowing, sure, but each can be motivating in their own way, and also both have their place, regardless of their benefits.
For me, the key is just being able to identify which is which, and using that to figure out what to do next. Because sometimes I honestly think life is just about assimilating a whole lot of minuscule tasks into some kind of linear, achievable arrangement.

So just on the off-chance you're having a motivated day, this is a little something retail futurist Doug Stevens said in his recent interview with Imran Ahmed of The Business of Fashion.

Oh and if you're not, I hope you're feeling validated in your choice of how to spend your time today — if it's Netflix, please send recommendations.
