Good news at Wandsworth Planning Committee last night. Committee resolved to grant planning permission for various works at Taylors Yard including a roof extension, roof terrace and external changes to enable residential use. We have been working on this scheme with .developments and for well over a year having initialy sought and gained a change of use from commercial to residential under Class MA of the GPDO. Proof that having a strategy in place pays off. A good result πŸ’ͺ

We are very pleased to announce we have been granted approval for a change of use from a Class E (restaurant) to Sui Generis (Restaurant and Takeaway) for Rack and Bite's Restaurant on Great Eastern Road in Hackney.

Hackney Council have particularly strict requirements on the proximity of new takeaways to Schools and officers were initially looking to refuse the application due to what they perceived to be a fundamental policy conflict. We worked closely with the Council to demonstrate that the various policy requirements had been addressed in full.

This approval is a clear demonstration our fundamental principles here at Tetrick Planning - we believe that results are achieved through a consistent methodical approach and working closely with the Local Authority.

This approval marks a really important stage for the client and we honestly couldn't be happier with this result. 😁

They said it was impossible...!

We are really pleased to announce on behalf of Makai Restaurant in Hounslow that planning permission has been granted for a relaxation of opening hours β˜‘

This grant of planning permission follows two previous refusals prior to our involvement due to the perceived noise impact. We worked closely with noise consultants and the Council's EHO to ensure that the proposals were supported by mitigation that was appropriate to the listed building.

The approval marks a really important stage in the client's business operations and we look forward to continuing to work with them on a number of other projects in the future🀝😁

Appeal Allowed!βœ…οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘

Really pleased to report that an Appeal has been allowed following a refusal by Westminster Council to grant planning permission for a roof terrace on Westborne Park Road which is in a Conservation Area.

The Inspector agreed with our assessment of the impacts.

Land that hasn’t previously been used for development. They're usually undeveloped areas within or outside a city, typically on agricultural land. They are often sought after for the construction of manufacturing plants and other commercial projects because they are uncomplicated and straightforward for construction.

Development in the Green Belt – Impossible?

While it is true that Green Belt sites can prove more challenging from a development perspective, there area ways through and we have been successful in securing planning permission for development in the Green Belt. Allowances for development in Green Belt locations can including the following:

- Replacement for existing development already in the Green Belt of a similar size

- Facilities that can only be located in the Green Belt

- Agricultural/Countryside Activities
