The geographical extension of the Baltic Adriatic Corridor covers a total length of 4,825 km of railway lines, which connect the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic Sea, involving about 40 terminals and 8 seaports, to which potentially better access is offered from industrial and economically advances that gravitate along the Corridor itself, such as Silesia, Ostrava, Vienna, Bratislava, Veneto and Bologna.

The GDP of the countries crossed by the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor is approximately 3,100 billion euros (source Eurostat, 2019) with a population of approximately 125 million people.

The country-crossing initiative of the East German federal states focussing on the promotion of a "Baltic-Adriatic-Development-Corridor” was launched on 10 May 2007. This corridor is the shortest connection between the Baltic Sea and the Adriatic Sea and seems therefore to be suitable for the establishment of a new trans-European North-South-connection.

The Stakeholder initiative we are supporting will be inclusive for SME companies that could achieve earliest economic results towards the project conclusion.
