Bringing your team back to the office!

After such a long period of remote working, and many people continuing to do so currently, bringing people back in is something that is likely to take a fair amount of planning!

Here are some things to consider when you start inviting staff back to the office:

1. Desk spacing and the office layout (remember to keep your 1+ distance wherever possible)
2. Antibacterial and hand washing stations
5. Sanitary and hygiene precautions
4. Maximum people allowed in conference rooms
5. Staggered and alternating work schedules for departments

Hopefully that got you thinking on the right tracks!

Virtual Meeting's 101!

With the current global pandemic affecting lots of businesses, lots more people are working from home and adjusting to this new dynamic.

One of the adjustments is likely to be to virtual meetings instead of face to face ones. As much as they can be slightly amusing and a good way for the team to connect, sometimes you will need to ensure that the meeting can still follow some kind of structure and be useful.

Here are some tips on how to best use this technology;

1. make sure everyone has access.

2. be prepared, just like you would to a meeting in your office!

3. set expectations - make sure you communicate clearly how the meeting will be run and stick to it.

4. have a back up plan! (you never know when someones internet might be down or their cat knocked a glass of water over their laptop)

For any guidance and advice on managing your business as smoothly as possible during this uncertain time, please get in contact with us and we will be happy to help!

In an article from Consultancy UK it claims;

'The cost of being a football fan following the Premier League has exploded in the last five seasons, according to a new study. Since 2015, the price of TV subscriptions, merchandise, home tickets and in-stadium refreshments have all risen at well above the general inflation rate of the UK Consumer Price Index.'

According to Consultancy UK, managers are spending less than half their working time actually managing!

Do you agree with this statement?
What exactly would be the implications of this?

Employees would certainly receive less direction and may feel more unclear on what is exactly expected of them! if so this is a worrying statement!

UK supervisors are spending most of their working day on meetings and admin, according to a new study.
