Very chic, clean aesthetic and never out of style chevron quilting. Bag is easily 27+ years old but doesn’t look dated at all 💛💚

Lambskin is in very good condition, feels like butter, a few very minor beauty marks. A minor amount of gold loss on chain hardware, not noticeable, the rest of the hardware including feature oversized CC lock is excellent for its relative age. Overall condition of the bag is 9/10

The Medaillon Tote is a design with one of the longest production runs in the house of Chanel, from knowledge even slightly longer than the GST or Grand Shopping Tote.
This beautiful tote was finally discontinued circa 2013 after being born around the year 2000. This particular one is from 2011 and rarer to see in the secondary market because of its beautiful silver hardware.
I would estimate 9 out of 10 Medaillon totes would be with gold if not more....

Exterior - Exceptional
Interior - Very good, clean, some evidence of previous use.
Handles - Very clean
Corners - Very good

Hardware - Excellent

Condition is 9/10 overall, little evidence of wear on this bag. Exceptional specimen of older thicker and robust caviar.

Truly remarkable for a light colour 26 years old Chanel flap.

Lambskin is in excellent condition, a few very minor beauty marks and tiny scuffs on the corners and edges, but in reality the pictures show it up more, to the naked eye it is much less than the photography indicates. There isn't much to see, you'd have to get up really close.
Suspect the zipper pull has been replaced,
at some point in its life.
The gold is fully intact.
Structure of the bag is excellent.
Overall condition of the bag is 8.5/10

(Worth noting - if this colour bag was box fresh 10/10, ie unused vintage, it would easily be north of 7k as decided by the secondary vintage market, and rising. The lambskin is truly beautiful, durable, thick and not delicate like newer lambskins)

The almost not there Sakura Pink

Chanel don't 'officially' give their colours names, the same way Hermes do.

'Rose Sakura' is a legendary colour by the house of Hermes, a beautiful nearly there pale pink colour. Near impossible to request and very covetable on the secondary market.

Chanel don't repeat their colours (apart from black and beige clair 🤓) so when they do produce a baby pink, typically the hue and the tone will differ a bit through the years, as Chanel have a habit of not repeating their colours.

So the unofficial name of Sakura Pink has been drifting around bag world for a good while now, and for some romantic unknown reason, everyone knows exactly what is Sakura and what is not....

The name is linked to the beautiful Japanese cherry blossoms, which of course emphasises the start of spring time and everything lovely and positive.

Via a wonderful friend I was able to secure a pure pale pink in vintage lambskin circa 1997, medium size, with mint 22-24k gold hardware to compliment it. A bit unusual for me as I do like my darks.

She will be up for sale tonight 💖
An absolute dreambag she is too, very certain she deserves the Rose Sakura stamp of approval.

By the way; it was an eccentric Englishman who saved the Japanese Cherry Blossom, his name was Collingwood 'Cherry' Ingram.
Look it up when you get a chance, it is quite a rich story.

Without him the iconic blooms would have been extinct.... so this lovely colour would probably have ended up with a different name!
