Richard and Valy celebrated their Chelsea Old Town Hall marriage with celebratory drinks at - a short walk away. The Surprise’s distinctive striped canopy provided strong leading lines for portraits of our grooms!

In a week of torrential downpours, Richard and Valy’s wedding day at Chelsea Old Town Hall was the only one with sunshine.

They chose the Rossetti Room for their marriage ceremony in front of family and friends, live-streaming to Valy’s family overseas before walking a short distance to for celebratory drinks.

The Rossetti Room has been newly decorated, with a chic and fresh colour scheme that very much complemented the groom’s sartorial choices.

Anna and Oz chose matching trainers when they married in the Pimlico Room at Marylebone Old Town Hall. It totally suited their personalities. They were such fun to work with! Family members flew in from Bulgaria and the US to attend their intimate ceremony.

One of my absolute favourite London wedding venues, the bright and airy Orangery in Holland Park. Let’s just hope it stops raining very soon! 🤞

I’ve just finished photographing my last wedding of the year, and I’m feeling quite emotional about it. It’s been quite a year!

2020 has been like no other. It’s been a devastating year for many, especially in the wedding industry, for suppliers and clients alike.
❤️
I am so very lucky that I specialised in small weddings already before Covid and its many limitations came along, so I have been able to still photograph nearly half the weddings I had for this year, albeit squeezed into short pockets between lockdowns. And I’m exhausted. But I’m also grateful; mindful of the fact that I still HAD weddings to photograph. I had lovely and cooperative clients who liaised with me on their many postponements. So many of my colleagues have had no weddings at all. My heart goes out to them all.

I’m also grateful to work with some really lovely people. My clients, of course! 🥰 But also, particularly the teams at Chelsea Old Town Hall and at The Old Marylebone Town Hall.

The registrars and ushers alike, who have been doing their very best to inject as much “normal” into the ceremonies as is possible under the circumstances. Because each couple should be made to feel special on their wedding day, no matter how small their wedding. And these guys do this brilliantly!

My heart goes out to all the couples whose weddings plans have been thwarted once again! And to all my fellow wedding suppliers who are trying to get through this extraordinarily difficult time. Hang in there, everyone. ❤️

Also sending MUCH love to all my lovely clients who have been, and are continuing to go ahead with their weddings, no matter how small and intimate they may be, undeterred by any obstacles placed in their way! ❤️❤️❤️ Love conquers all. ❤️

But I’m not sure how much more our industry can take before it collapses completely. our industry needs your support, urgently!!! Please hear us!

I am incredibly lucky and privileged to be working flat out this week, with 3 weddings in 4 days. Each one of them was postponed from earlier on in the year.

80% of my bookings for this year have moved dates at least once, some as many as 3 times. It’s certainly been a juggling act to manage, but at least I still have the bookings.

Many people are not so lucky.

So on this bank holiday weekend, traditionally the busiest wedding weekend of the whole year, here are some numbers for you of what won’t be happening on just this one Saturday.
