We need the UK government to support solar. To start by bring on a law that all excess electrical generation from domestic installs is paid for by their electrical suppliers. Bring in one off payment grants for all installs. Scrap increase in business rates on non domestic installs. Reduce VAT rate to 0%. Fund a R&D into solar panel recycling and open up a recycling plant. Support community solar projects by additional grants including schools, churches and non profits organisations. A few thoughts to start.

The world’s best solar power schemes now offer the “cheapest…electricity in history” with the technology cheaper than coal and gas in most major countries.

Cheaper than Nuclear, safer and definitely looks a lot cooler. Concentrated solar is the way of the future.

Finally the Government are slowly getting the climate emergency. Onshore wind is three times cheaper than new nuclear yet we have had to wait years for it to be allowed to compete for funding. Hopefully no more interference by PM’s when it comes to common sense.
