Wishing you all a Very Happy New Year!! 🎊🎉🥂

The ongoing pandemic continues to present with collective and personal challenges. We are all too aware of how this impacts artists, makers, designers and the creative industries as a whole.

Our mission for 2022 is to provide value and be the hub that amplifies and supports creativity, talent discovery, research and also offer learning opportunities.

For now, we leave you with our picks from the ongoing fun and amazing series.

The project is an artificially generated month of time where artists are invited to build code in response to daily prompts.

We have closely followed the art and scene for a few months now and continue to be fascinated by the plethora of emerging technologies in the space.

We are working behind the scene and hope to launch a very exciting creative project in the near future.

As always, please stay safe and thank you for the continued support 🌺🌺🎈

ICYMI - we kicked off our “Creative Lives” series on Friday night with Art & Documentary Photographer .me 🚀🎉

The conversation was both interesting/engaging and it presented us with a deeper understanding of her work. We want to thank everyone that tuned in! Below are 5 key takeaways from the LIVE;
_
ChinWe has BSc Hons in Business Management and only made the transition into photography making and started taking portraits in 2018
_
Since picking up the camera her work has focused on the African diaspora, covering themes of identity. Her first project which she shot over 2 months in Nigeria was featured on CNN.
_
She credited mid 20th century Malian Photographer Seydou Keïta for inspiration and credits his use of black and white photography to convey messages.
_
Her fascinating ‘I AM NOT YOUR MATE’ project is amazing and we would advise everyone to take some time to read some of the compelling stories. She is also working on a major project with a big museum establishment in London.
_
Finally ChinWe advised any budding / up and coming photographer to continue to work hard at honing their skills until it all clicks. She also advised artists to diversify their audience and share their work on multiple platforms including LinkedIn where she has sold quite a few pieces.
_
We will be revealing our next guest on the series in a few days. 🧡

Zazzau - A film captured by filmmaker and photographer showcasing ‘Durbar’ a stately and vibrant festival celebrated annually in Nigeria’s Muslim north, marking the much anticipated end of Ramadan.

The film offers a fascinating look into the vibrant parades centrepiece to the festivities and the traditional clothing and juxtaposition of colours showcases craft and first class artisan.
