Meet Sitopia Farm!🥕🧑‍🌾

They’re the final startup in Cohort 3 of the Future Industries Demonstrator programme.

Sitopia Farm is striving to transform our food services through organic regeneration and community initiatives.

They sell their produce directly to the local community while offering a diverse range of courses and volunteering opportunities. This fosters a culture of collaboration with businesses, organisations, and local residents that helps instil sustainable food habits within the community.

As part of the programme, Sitopia Farm is looking to:
🤝 Collaborate with businesses and behaviour change experts.
💡Develop ways to enhance the impact of their ‘team days’ at the farm.
🧪Test and evaluate a new ‘team away days’ offering in east London.

Meet SAGES! 👋🎨

They are the fourth of our five startups in Cohort 3 of the Future Industries Demonstrator programme.

SAGES is transforming sustainability within the dye industry by developing biodegradable, non-toxic dyes from food waste.

Using their patent-pending extraction method, SAGES isolates phytochemicals from food waste sourced from local businesses to create a natural, sustainable alternative to synthetic dyes.

SAGES’ aims for the programme are to:

Part of Cohort 3 in the Future Industries Demonstrator programme, Made Sweetly is on a mission to address global health challenges by producing sustainable, low-calorie sweet proteins.

Their groundbreaking fermentation process produces sweet proteins derived from West African Berries. The result? A natural sweetener up to 3,000 times sweeter than sugar without affecting natural glucose levels.

Striving to create a fully circular model for urban mushroom farming, ELMC upcycles waste from local farms and businesses into mushroom substrate to provide fresh, sustainable mushrooms directly to the community.

Meet Carib Eats! 👋🍲🥭

They are the first of the five startups in Cohort 3 of the Future Industries Demonstrator programme.

Carib Eats is on a mission to tackle isolation and food uncertainty for elderly black and Caribbean communities in Hackney.

They develop digital platforms that streamline the registration process of key community offerings like canteen signups, volunteer registrations, and local school sessions.

Throughout the programme, Carib Eats is looking to:
🛜 Develop an accessible digital platform tailored to elderly black and Caribbean community members
💻 Address local challenges relating to digital literacy
