The Finsbury Business Centre (FBC) was set up in 1983 in Clerkenwell, on the site of a former 1930’s printworks, which now also houses the London Metropolitan Archives. It was one of the first serviced office providers in London and has helped a variety of diverse and interesting businesses to grow and flourish over the years. Run by two brothers, former Honda exec Hugh and historian Ian, FBC trul

y is a family business. We grew up painting the walls of the building once designed by our father specifically to support small businesses, and returned to continue the tradition today. Located in the heart of Clerkenwell, one of London’s most historically creative areas, the FBC comprises 40k sq. Each studio comes newly decorated, but completely customisable upon occupancy. Offices are available on a rolling monthly licence, with the licence fee covering rent, business rates, and super-fast internet. We look forward to welcoming you here!

A little late to the party but we wanted to send a massive congratulations to Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek on their recent wins at Wimbledon... And while they were killing it on the court, we were doing what we do best...

A huge, heartfelt thank you to all who came to our recent 'Wimble while you work' event! The Pimms was flowing, the Eton mess was messin, and our community were the best (as always)!

Same time next year Wimblers?

London’s best-kept rooftop secret? It’s right here at FBC Clerkenwell.
We’ve spent May basking in the sunshine on our terrace—definitely more Aperol than admin😏. But can you blame us with these views over our City?

Our rooftop space is as versatile as it is beautiful: perfect for networking drinks, masterclasses, launch parties, or any excuse to gather and celebrate. Bring your own catering, book it for an hour or an entire evening, and make it yours.

Ready to elevate your next event (literally)? Head to our website, we’ll save you a seat in the sun!

🌍 Happy Earth Day 2025🌍

Today, we reflect on our commitment to environmental sustainability and the steps we take to make our older building eco-friendly. At FBC Clerkenwell, we believe that every small action counts towards a greener future and we wanted to share some of the initiatives we proudly implement:

-Energy-efficient LED lighting with PIR sensors in communal areas to reduce energy consumption.
-Recycling bins provided throughout the building to encourage waste segregation and recycling.
-Active participation in the Zero Emissions Network and other sustainability initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint.
-Our building is EPC rated B, demonstrating our commitment to energy efficiency.
-We prioritise local suppliers and ethical vendors to support sustainable practices.
-We use sustainable service providers for cleaning and maintenance to ensure eco-friendly operations.

There are small steps we can all take each day to be more eco-friendly. Here are some of the simple actions you can take:

- Make use of the recycling bins provided and try to reduce waste by reusing items whenever possible.
- Turn off lights and unplug devices when not in use to save energy.
- Choose local and ethical vendors for your purchases to reduce transportation emissions and support sustainable businesses.
- Consider walking, cycling, or using public transport instead of driving to reduce your carbon footprint.
- Be mindful of water usage by fixing leaks and using water-saving fixtures.

Together, we can make a significant impact on our environment. Let's celebrate Earth Day by committing to these small but meaningful actions every day. 🌱

A massive congratulations to carefreespace, who have recently been featured on BBC news, highlighting the life changing work they do to provide unpaid carers with a much needed break.

Be sure to give it a watch, give them a follow and help to raise awareness of the incredible work they are all doing 🙌🙌

We are so proud of our community, and love to hear about all of the wonderful things they are achieving. If you have something you would like to share, from little to big wins, we want to hear about it 💚

Another wonderful Community Event!

What an afternoon! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Easter afternoon tea, it was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some of our newest members.

From interesting debates over the correct way to prepare a scone (it's jam first, by the way) to laughter and fun that reminded us just how incredible our community is, we had an absolute blast.

We want to hear from YOU!

Do you have ideas for future gatherings? Something you're keen to see at the next get together? Maybe a time of day that works best for you and the team to attend?

We want to hear about it!

Drop us a message with your thoughts and see you at the next one... We can't wait!
