A different side of the Charles Square team
You will usually see us talking about technology and the support we provide to our clients. Today we are sharing something a little different about one of the people behind that work.
Ellie Elizabeth Messham works in our Procurement team at Charles Square. Outside work she is building her experience in motorsport after gaining her racing licence in April.
She gained her racing licence in April, but the car she now drives has a much longer history. The Ford Pinto-powered dragster was previously owned and raced by her nan Liz, who began racing in 2004.
Taking the wheel of the same car is a special moment for Ellie. She is learning the sport, developing her own skills and continuing something that has been part of her family for years.
Ellie said:
“I am taking over my nan’s legacy and I am so honoured to be able to do this. It is also a pleasure to have the support of Charles Square and HDW Electrical. Their sponsorship helps us keep the dragster on the track and supports my dreams. I feel very lucky to work for such a special company.”
Ellie is someone we work with every day, which makes this sponsorship personal to us. We get to see one of our team begin her first season in motorsport while continuing a family story that started 20 years ago.
We are proud to support Ellie and will be cheering her on each time she takes to the track.
