LIPSYNC BIFA 2014 NOMINATIONS

LipSync is delighted to see six of its film projects nominated for the 2014 BIFAs, and to have at least one nomination in every feature film category.

LipSync provided full post-production services and equity investment for Mr Turner, Calvary, Catch Me Daddy, X+Y, Testament of Youth and The Face of an Angel.

Mr Turner, which has been garnering five star reviews since its opening last week, received five nominations, as did Catch Me Daddy. Calvary and X+Y both received four nominations, and Testament of Youth and The Face of an Angel received one each.

Mr Turner and Calvary were both nominated in the prestigious Best British Independent Film and Best Director categories, while Catch Me Daddy and X+Y were nominated for the Douglas Hickox Award for best debut director.

LipSync Post requires an Assistant Producer for their busy Soho facility.

The ideal candidate will have a good technical knowledge of the work flows and timeframes involved with TV drama and have worked in a post facility for at least 2 years.

Duties involve assisting a team of Producers by co-ordinating bookings and liaising with clients.

A knowledge of film work flows not essential but certainly a bonus.

LipSync Post are looking for an experienced Data Operator to join its expanding DI department.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of DI work flows.

A good knowledge of Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems is essential.

You must also have solid experience scripting in Python and C and be familiar with back up systems such as LTO and LTFS.

The role requires an ability to work in detail and with accuracy.

We are looking for a responsible, highly motivated team player who is able to work under pressure.

LipSync Post requires an experienced Sound Assistant.

The candidate must have worked in a similar post environment for at least 2 years and be able to configure deliverables and complete laybacks.

A good working knowledge of Protools is essential and experience assisting with ADR vital.

Some mixing experience preferable but not essential.

LipSync Post requires a Senior Flame/Smoke Editor to work on high end TV Drama and Feature Films.

The ideal candidate will be technically conversant with Flame/Smoke and all that is expected in online sessions.

He / She will also have a creative flair for VFX and be good at managing clients’ expectations.
