Originally developed for studio use back in 1966, it quickly became the industry standard for live vocals.
Designed with a cardioid pickup pattern that helps reduce unwanted noise, and a pneumatic shock mount to minimise handling noise and vibrations, it’s built for durability and reliability as well as high-quality vocal sound.
From it’s early adopters Roger Daltrey, Paul McCartney and Janis Joplin, to punk icons including the Clash and the S*x Pistols, as well as Run-DMC, Public Enemy and Salt-N-Pepper from the hip-hop community, the Shure SM58 has been trusted by some of the biggest names across music.
