A very special night in Liège. ❤️🎷 To celebrate what would have been John Coltrane’s 100th birthday, we had the immense pleasure of bringing his music back to a city that was already part of his story. There’s something particularly meaningful about returning to Liège, where Coltrane himself performed with his legendary quartet in 1965. This time, his legacy was celebrated through the extraordinary musicianship of Joe Lovano, the Orchestre Royal de la Philharmonie de Liège, and conductor Troy Miller, bringing new colours and perspectives to music that continues to move and inspire us decades later.
A beautiful evening celebrating one of the greatest musical voices of all time, in a place that once welcomed him.
