Albert Dock.
The large set of warehouses and dock buildings named Albert Dock was first open in Liverpool in 1846 with a structure very different to other docks and warehouse clusters at that time. Albert Dock was a secure fire-resistant place that quickly became the most popular store of valuables cargoes such as cotton, silk, tea and brandy in the UK.
During the Second World War the Dock was turned into one of the largest base of the British Atlantic Fleet setting aside its valuable cargo shipping activity.
After the Was Albert Dock was found severely damaged and most importantly obsolete compared to the new modern construction techniques being used. The Dock had never returned to its original function and was eventually closed.
However, nowadays Albert Dock became the most visited tourist attraction in the UK outside London. People come from all around the world to visit the famous Merseyside Maritime Museum and listen to Marine history of the Dock or take part in various games offered at the museum. The most popular one played is ‘Cargo-a-go-go’ where you can try yourself as an 18th century tea smuggler and see how much cargo you can land safely onto the docks.
Besides, the place is now extremely peaceful and quiet. Enjoy the fresh breeze and listen to the bunch of seagulls while taking a stroll down the Dock.

Snowdonia National Park.

Looking for something different this Christmas? Snowdonia National Park located in North Wales could grant you an extraordinary experience that you would not soon forget.
