A British tourist was stabbed early on Saturday morning in Sant Antoni.

According to Diario de Ibiza, the victim was taken by emergency services to the hospital with a stab wound in the right thigh that affected the vastus externus.

Unknown motive in attack on British tourist

The events occurred around six o’clock in the morning. The victim had left his friends at some apartments in Platja d’en Bossa and was walking alone to his accommodation in Sant Antoni. At that moment a man assaulted him, no motive is known at this time.

After a struggle, he stabbed him and fled the scene. Several bystanders witnessed the scene and it was one of them who alerted the emergency services.

Health services arrived quickly on the scene. The man had moved about four or five meters from the scene of the attack to take shelter in a doorway where he was found conscious and stable.

Honestly, the island feels really safe when you’re there. We never once felt unsafe walking around, so none of us were even thinking about the possibility of a robbery.

Some things that made us suspicious: • The only night we didn’t set our alarm was the night we got robbed (same with our neighbors).

Both villas had the same owner. • When we told the owner what happened, he and the property manager seemed more concerned with the fact that we hadn’t set the alarm—despite the fact that one of the private suites in the backyard didn’t even have an alarm system attached.

That’s actually where the most money and valuables were stolen: over $12,000 just from those back suites, with the total loss for our group being upwards of $20,000. • What made us even more uneasy was how quickly he had a huge team ready to repair the broken windows and replace locks. It almost made us question—has this happened before? Why are you so prepared for this exact scenario? • We later found out that some of their other properties had also been robbed before.

To me, that raises a big red flag: if you know your places are being targeted, why not have cameras or better security already set up?

At our villa, there was only a single Ring-style camera at the front gate, and when we asked about it, they told us it was “broken.” • Honourable mention: taxi drivers asking specific details about your plans each night and how big your group is. Never share your plans!!!!

PSA: don’t even trust the “private” drivers that are operating illegally.

Other things to keep in mind: • It’s very possible that owners, taxi drivers, or even neighbors tip off robbers. • At the police station, we met another couple who said their robbers zipped up their suitcases and took them whole.

Between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, a joint device was developed in the beach area d'a Bossa in the framework of citizen security controls that are being carried out in this summer. Translation reads: This past morning, two agents of the Local Police of Sant Josep have been attacked by a Senegalese, known ‘camel’ of Platja d’en Bossa that is always located in the same place, causing deep cuts in the arm of one of the agents and different policontusions in the other agent.

The events happened on Platja d’en Bossa Street, at the entrance of a well -known land parking. The two agents were patrolling on foot when they saw this Senegalese out of the parking lot after having collected something from the ground close to the vegetation, being a point of hidden of drugs. At one point, the Senegalese says in English to tourists who passed by if they wanted drugs and tells them that he has co***ne and m**a. Police agents approached this person, who threw the drug to the ground. One of the agents picked up the ground drug, while the other policeman asks him for four times to put his hands behind to cache him. The Senegalese refuses to follow the police orders and run away from the place.

David Hernandez, a Chilean orthodontist holidaying in Ibiza, was relieved after unexpectedly recovering his stolen backpack containing a passport, tech accessories, and $1,100 in cash, which went missing during a VIP hotel party in Sant Antoni. Though CCTV had captured the theft, Hernandez had almost given up hope until a hotel five kilometres away contacted him to collect his bag, which was returned intact save for a phone charger and mysteriously included a pair of socks. Despite the ordeal, Hernandez, on his second visit to the island, remains undeterred and plans to return.
