Aurore's Therapy -RTT Hypnotherapist, Relationship and Feminine Coach

Aurore's Therapy -RTT Hypnotherapist, Relationship and Feminine Coach I help with unexplained fertility, for women to soften anxiety, fears, and to have ultimate confidence. But my soul was not in it. It never was. And I loved it.

Free from overthinking, self-doubt, people-please, set strong, healthy boundaries and increase the possibility of conceiving. As many individuals, I have been on a journey which has been rather blurry where clarity was not even a word I could comprehend. I am so grateful for reaching my 40s where clarity is becoming clearer as the years go by and hopefully, I'll 'properly see' in the coming days/months year or so where the Lord wants me to serve. I have done many jobs after I left Mauritius as a Math & Physics teacher. I worked in the legal department in London and then did various jobs as I became a single parent before going into accounting which offered a lot of flexibility. I needed to connect with people and also have quiet times, quite a bit of it actually and then, as my 40s came along, everything started shifting. I went through a journey of tackling my anger issues, my impatience is somehow more 'regulated', I have worked and still need some work on my beliefs around money because I want to have a good relationship with it. Through all the inner work I have been doing, I am immensely grateful to have evolved. Embracing feminine energy has been key and I love the peace I currently feel. I am not proud of the younger me, of the things I've done, but I look forward to who I am becoming.

Wanting to be chosen isn’t neediness.

It is the most human thing there is.

When you have spent several years feeling like you were passed over, forgotten, or simply "too much", it is so easy to internalise that as your own flaw. This especially applies if you grew up with many siblings.
You learn to Quietly shrink yourself, believing that if you were just a little different, you would have been picked.

But you were never too much.

You were simply trying to be seen by people who didn't have the capacity to meet you.

Your worth was never conditional on their ability to recognise it. Unlearning that belief takes time, gentle patience, and continuous self-compassion - but it starts with realising that you were never the problem.

Swipe through the carousel above for a reflection on unlearning this pattern.

If this speaks to you, save this post for when you need a reminder, or send me a DM with the word CHOSEN to talk through reframing this belief together.

You can spend years waiting for someone else to change.

Waiting for them to communicate better.
To understand you.
To stop crossing your boundaries.
To finally give you what you've been asking for.

But while you're waiting, your peace stays tied to their behaviour.

The real shift happens when your emotional wellbeing no longer depends on what someone else chooses to do.

Maybe they change. Maybe they don't.

The question is:

Can you still feel calm, grounded and secure regardless?

That's where true freedom begins.

Have you ever found yourself waiting for someone else to change before you could be happy?

Are you ready to start taking up space?

Not by becoming louder.
Not by pushing harder.
Not by proving your worth.

But by allowing yourself to be seen.

For so many women, taking up space feels uncomfortable because somewhere along the way they learned that being agreeable, accommodating, or invisible was safer.

So they shrink.
They overthink.
They stay quiet when they have something important to say.

Yet the life, love, opportunities, and success you desire often require you to step forward rather than hold yourself back.

Taking up space isn't selfish.
It's self-respect.

What would change in your life if you stopped making yourself smaller?

👇 I'd love to know. What's one area where you're ready to take up more space?

**Does love feel hard for you?**
What if the problem isn't love?

What if being vulnerable simply doesn't feel safe?

If you learnt that expressing your needs led to criticism, rejection, conflict or disappointment, you may have become very good at protecting yourself.

You keep things in.
You don't ask for too much.
You avoid difficult conversations.
You pretend you're fine.

And then you wonder why relationships feel lonely, frustrating or exhausting.

The truth is, many people aren't afraid of love.

They're afraid of what might happen if they let someone see the real them.

💭 Complete this sentence in the comments:
"If I was completely honest in relationships, I would be afraid that..."

I'll go first:
"I would be afraid that they wouldn't accept me."

“Beliefs cannot be changed.”
Who told you that?

Because if you believe that, you might be living your life according to something you learnt years ago.

“I’m not good enough.”
“I can’t trust anyone.”
“I have to do everything myself.”
“I’m too much.”
“I’ll always be rejected.”

These aren’t facts.
They’re beliefs.

And beliefs are conclusions your mind created from experiences, repetition and meaning.

The problem?

You can forget where the belief came from…
but your subconscious can keep acting as though it’s true.

So you keep choosing the same relationships.

Repeating the same patterns.
Reacting in the same ways.

Until you question the story.

You are not your beliefs.

And you don’t have to keep living inside an old one simply because it’s familiar.

✨ What you learnt can be rewired.
✨ What feels automatic can change.
✨ A different story can become your new normal.

You became the emotional architect of a relationship where you no longer exist.

When you spend all your energy managing someone else's inner world, you trade intimacy for emotional labour.

You dynamic-proof his reactions, explain away his shortcomings, and keep the peace - only to realise the peace you created completely erased you.

Resentment isn't just about what he did wrong; it's about where you abandoned yourself. True connection doesn't require you to shrink, silence, or perform emotional contortions just to keep things stable.

The shift begins the moment you stop managing him and start being honest with yourself.

Did you know most women are trained to help before they're ever asked what they want, what they need?

Last week I had a 45-minute call with a woman. She spent almost all of the entire time talking about someone else's situation. Not hers. Theirs.

Their relationship. Their struggle. What they needed. What she was trying to fix for them.

Forty-five minutes, and barely a sentence about herself.

She knows everyone's story, their pain, what is acceptable for them but she couldn't do that for herself.

And she's not unusual - that's what makes it worth mentioning out loud. So many of us were praised for being helpful before we could speak in full sentences. Good girl. So easy. Such a help. Do you remember?

Then we grew up and called it our personality.

It isn't. It's conditioning. And conditioning isn't character. It can be changed so your next week doesn't have to look like your last ten years.

When did someone last ask how you were and wait for the real answer? And respected it?
