Throw Back Thursday!

Rigging Services have just hit the 3-year anniversary on the commission to hang a MicroLino car in the Young V & A Museum in Bethnal Green, London. It is displayed as a modern example of innovative, sustainable design to inspire young people, by representing the future of micro-mobility and eco-friendly transport.
Careful design, testing, and attention to detail were critical to ensure the 500kg structure was both safe and visually seamless.

The car is still available to view at the Young V&A museum.

Did you see the winter lights?❄️

Each year, Canary Wharf hosts a free public exhibition, showcasing artwork from a range of artists and illuminating the area every evening from 5–10pm. This year’s winter light festival featured a particularly fascinating piece by Mark Lyall. “Manifestation” is an audio-visual composition, spread across a 12m arc of projection screens.

Delivering this project required 10 tonnes of ballast to ensure the Prolyte H30V Truss and Layher supporting structure resisted local wind forces. As this was a public exhibition, Rigging Services also installed dark mesh screens on either side of the installation to conceal technical elements and prevent public access. This ensured a clean presentation and allowed visitors to fully focus on the artwork itself. Rigging Services are constantly supporting artists, helping their creative vision come to life, with our technical expertise and can-do attitude!

TECHNICAL RIGGING MEETS CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ART🎨

We are proud to have supported this year's Turner Prize winner, Nnena Kalu, at the Turner Prize competition hosted in Cartwright Hall, Bradford.

For this event, Rigging Services designed, supplied and installed the venue with a bespoke Prolyte H30V truss grid and spreaders, to create a safe and reliable structure from which the artwork could be suspended from. Our team supervised the artwork being installed, to ensure the structure met both safety standards and the artist's vision.

This project was a fitting finale to an exceptional year for Rigging services. 🎉

In 2025, we delivered bespoke rigging and truss for an inspiring and unique range of artwork and events across the art and entertainment industry. We are so happy to have supported Nnena and give her a big congratulations for her win!

The artwork is still available to view until the 22nd February 2026 at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery.

Look who’s moved in…

We had the honour of installing the Giant great ape sculpture at the Royal Geographical Society!

Perched amongst the architecture, this striking silver ape watched over Kensington with style, using art to raise awareness around ecological and urban environmental issues. The amazing artist, Lisa Roet, based this sculpture on Jane Goodall’s discovery of the first Ape that she found to be using tools. Now, more can learn of her discoveries as well as be environmentally aware thanks to artwork like this.

After a year of planning, teamwork and rigging, the result speaks for itself.
