These ladders have been secured using singles in compression against the stiles. This seems to be the norm these days! It doesn’t pass with me. I want to see the stile fully wrapped preferably with a ladder coupler or 12.5mm cable ties. Do you allow this? What are the downsides?

Today’s design compliance inspection at this temporary roof scaffold tied by opposing buttrices. Cantilever to accept the bridging over the pitched altar roof at St Andrews Church, Enfield.
