THE perfect dress from for a hot summer lunch yesterday to celebrate one of my oldest friends’ birthdays Breezy enough to aerate but smart enough for a formal setting. And I love the black bows on the back, the slight bustles effect and the semblance of hips it gifts! Happy Sunday to you all!

It’s my birthday! Fifty three is a bit of a nothing number but I will take it! Ageing is a gift. Here’s an out of focus shot from my 70’s childhood. God I loved that anorak. Anyone else have one?

So happy to see Julie in all her glory after the makeover shoot last month! I loved helping Julie create an outfit for her daughter’s wedding. So often women panic and spend a tonne of money on something they think will be ‘the right thing’ only to feel uncomfortable and never wear the outfit again. Julie and I talked about her style - usually skinnies and a knit -so that I could select something that really felt perfect for her. When you’re more casual by nature dressing up is doubly hard. Understanding what works and why is the key to everything. Knowledge is power! See the full article and hop over to .shape to download the app today!

So happy to have written this for ( link in my bio) all about the rise of adjustable clothing - how has it taken this long? Special thanks to for talking to me about the fascinating way they build adjustable waistbands into their suits. To for her brilliant up-cycled shirts and to Jenny Howard - client and friend - for her comments on fit and for introducing me to All that remains now is for you to take a look at some of my favourite versatile designs. From skirts, to .us brilliant blazers, corset ties, cinching skirts to super tie dress and drawstring trews. I’d love to know how many of your use adjustable pieces of clothing, or alter items. Or do you have different sizes for different times?

Miami - you were MAGIC We got to hang out with old friends, Helen and Andrew - visited the Everglades, went in an airboat, saw alligators up close and then got milkshakes at Robert Is Here farm shop ( see stories)

We stayed at The Tony Hotel, great rooftop pool, mango mocktails and lovely staff

I spent time on Miami Beach - pristine white sand, azure sea and lovely and quiet too. No, I didn’t swim

Had some great meals out - breakfast at the News Cafe, a Miami Beach institution and favourite of the late Gianni Versace. The Drexel for dinner - a beautiful spot down Espanola Way and coffee at Rosetta’s. The best sunshine, tropical feel and laid back vibe for a sun starved Londoner. And I think I’ve bought the sun back with me x

Party of a lifetime for a friend’s 50th Drinks in the ballroom followed by a delicious three course meal, served by an army of black tie clad waiters and waitresses, and THEN appeared! She did a fantastic set featuring covers and all her hits. What a night! I wore from sale with earrings and velvet platforms. It is always such a joy to properly dress up, I wish I could do it more often! Danced my heart out and had a totally magical time. Do you like the dress? Xx
