The CP operations side of our business rarely gets seen. That’s by design, driven by professionalism and confidentiality.
Whilst our training department is exceedingly busy and appropriately takes up much of what we share publicly, it is overshadowed by a 24 hour operational capability running 365 days a year that is rarely visible to the wider public or on social media. We share appropriate elements of our work publicly when supporting corporations and events in the public eye, but the majority is delivered discreetly for private family offices. That said, the pride we have in the team for last night’s response deserves some appropriate public credit.
At 20:29 a late request came in for four vehicles and close protection operatives to support an airside pick up and onward protection into Central London for a regular high profile client.
The response was immediate. Decisions were made swiftly, FBOs liaised with, resources mobilised and operators turned out without hesitation. By 22:46, just over two hours later, fourteen passengers were on board, protected and en route to their destination in the UK.
What stood out wasn’t just the speed, but the mindset. People backing each other, taking responsibility and stepping up after hours because they understand the standard we set and the portfolio we hold.
For us, leadership is about creating the right environment. When people feel valued, treated fairly and trusted, outcomes like this take care of themselves. It’s also why senior leadership are never far from the operational detail, coffees included.
Any business is only as strong as its people.
Thank you, wholeheartedly, to the operations team. Including the operator who turned down pancakes with his wife to turn out in minus three degrees. That level of commitment doesn’t go unnoticed, and we suspect it’ll cost more than just pancakes in reparations.
