In his recent story for Cresta, Ravid Kuperberg of Mindscapes identified “Fight for a Cause” as one of the recurring patterns behind winning work.

One example was Uncried Tears of Men for Hungarian Mental Health Helpline Association by which took home Bronze in the Cultural Impact category at Cresta 2025.

To challenge the taboo around male emotional suppression, the campaign placed a public sculpture of a crying man near the Danube, making hidden pain impossible to ignore. Supported by citylight posters, PR, influencer activity and an educational landing page, the work brought national attention to a deeply personal issue and helped drive a 36% increase in calls to the mental health helpline.

As Ravid notes, “Fight for a Cause” begins with something overlooked, unresolved or taken for granted. The strongest examples transform that tension into something people can recognise, share and rally behind.

Cresta Awards 2026 are now open for entries.

Cresta 2026 will showcase and benchmark work of the highest creative standard worldwide.

As one of the most respected global benchmarks of creative excellence, Cresta is designed to be accessible, agile, independent and fair. Every entry is reviewed with care on an individual basis by a jury of more than 120 industry leaders, so the strongest work can stand out on its merits.

For entrants, that means a competition built around the work, not the size or reputation of the company behind it. Success at Cresta can strengthen reputations, earn World Creative Rankings points and create tailored publicity opportunities for winning work.

Cresta also makes entering easier, with focused categories, fair pricing, personal support and flexible pre-order options that allow you to enter now and finalise your work later.

The extended Mid-Season Special ends tomorrow. Enter now, or pre-order and finalise later, and give your work its place at Cresta.

‘Encore Hours’ for Taco Bell by Edelman UK took home Bronze in the Creative Commerce category at Cresta 2025.

Built around the post-concert moment when fans are still awake but much of the city has closed, the campaign aligned Taco Bell opening hours with nearby live music events. Launched around Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley, it paired late-night service with exclusive merch, playlists, food offers and targeted social activity.

Cresta Awards 2026 are now open for entries.

Kate Stanners, Chief Creative Officer, International, of Edelman, has been announced as Jury Chair of the 2026 Cresta Awards.

Her appointment brings one of the industry’s most respected creative leaders into the role, following two decades at Saatchi & Saatchi, where she rose to Global Chief Creative Officer and Global Chair, and her recent move into a major international role at Edelman.

Stanners also gives a strong indication of what she will encourage this year, with a clear focus on the growing creative power of earned media. As she comments in the full story: “earned media has earned its right to play a much more significant role in brands marketing plans.”

At Cresta, the Jury Chair offers encouragement and a sense of direction, while jurors continue to vote independently and in isolation. Stanners will also review the winners and select special award mentions for work with forward-looking messages for the industry.

‘The Proximity Effect’ for The Ronald McDonald House Charities by Dentsu Creative Finland took home Silver in the Interactive Poster category at Cresta 2025.

To highlight the importance of families staying close to seriously ill children during treatment, the campaign transformed digital billboards into an emotional interactive experience. A frightened child appeared alone on screen, but as people moved closer, the child’s expression gradually changed into comfort and relief. The closer the viewer stood, the stronger the emotional connection became.

The installation encouraged donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities Finland, helping provide families with a home near Helsinki’s children’s hospital during difficult periods of care.

‘Stitched With Cheer’ for Tusker Lager by Dentsu Creative Kenya took home Silver in the Design category at Cresta 2025.

The campaign brought Kenyan supporters closer to their Olympic athletes by turning the team kit into a channel for national encouragement. Micro-LED strips were woven into the fabric, allowing real-time messages from fans across the country to appear on the athletes’ uniforms.

Supporters could send their own messages using codes found under Tusker caps, creating a shared moment of pride and momentum. Drawing on Maasai textile influences and the energy of track and field, the kit became a moving display of culture, technology and national support.

‘No Labels’ for Nikka Whisky by Dentsu Inc. took home Gold in the Design category at Cresta 2025.

Removing the bottle’s usual branding, the campaign used silhouettes and a stripped-back visual language to explore identity in a more open and inclusive way. The idea was carried across print and OOH, film, promotional materials, a brand book, and the concept for a flagship bar and shop in Tokyo, giving the project a strong and cohesive visual presence.
