A look back at a very special print project from 2012. 👑

PrintHouse produced this commemorative book to mark the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II, creating a distinctive table top piece designed to reflect the significance of the occasion.

The 205mm square book featured 180 litho printed pages on 170gsm silk paper, with silver foiling applied to the 400gsm cover to tie in with the Diamond Jubilee theme. PUR binding was used for added strength and to allow the book to open flat without compromising the pages.

A memorable project combining print, finishing and binding to create something made to last.

Sometimes the simplest print pieces have the biggest job to do. 👀

For Rolls Royce, PrintHouse produced a supporting leaflet as part of their graduate recruitment campaign, designed to encourage potential graduates to go online and register their interest in joining their schemes.

The six page leaflet was printed using a four colour process with a sealer throughout, then carefully creased and folded to help prevent cracking along the folds. Clean, professional and cost effective, it was designed for large scale distribution as part of a wider recruitment campaign.

Printing responsibly matters. 🌱

At PrintHouse, we’ve been printing for 30 years, and throughout that time we’ve continued looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of what we do.

We encourage the use of recycled or responsibly sourced FSC and PEFC certified papers, run our presses using electricity bought on a renewable tariff, use inks and sealers made from vegetable waste, and operate alcohol free or reduced alcohol printing wherever possible.

Our up to date Heidelberg and Indigo presses also help us reduce waste during set up and production, while our deliveries are handled by ISO14001 accredited courier firms using fleets that include hybrid technology vehicles.

We’re always looking for ways to improve our environmental performance and make more responsible choices across the business.
