This amazing event is getting so close now it’s a week tomorrow! It’s free for everyone to come and enjoy.
There are loads of stalls, games like Splat the Rat and Wet Stocks, talks, showcases and food to! Ice cream man Crepes and Wraps are all going to be there to keep you nourished as well as Round The Blend Coffee Company serving up amazing coffee to keep Jim going!
We are amazed at the generosity of people around us as we are sponsored by French & Jupps Malting and Malmech & Mannion garage. Also some of the people we help with our charity are standing up and doing things to help us on the day to.
Community makes everything possible and that’s what this day is all about.

We have opened the doors of our historic maltings for guided tours to the public, offering priority bookings to the residents of Stanstead Abbotts and the Three Villages.

We are pleased to share the fundraising initiative undertaken by one of our tenants, Jim at Coffee and Coping ☕

To raise funds, Jim is walking from Bath to Wells. This pilgrimage through Somerset comes full circle for Jim, whose formative years spent in the area fostered his strong sense of community.

It's these values that are embedded within the ethos of Coffee & Coping: "There is help for everyone in our drop-ins and specifically directed groups; our core directive is to fight loneliness and all that goes with it!"

The donations portal closes next Friday, April 25th, 2025. With a target of £3,000 to support the charity, any donations received before then would be warmly welcomed.

Why walk from Bath to Wells? Well ill tell you! These two places played a major part in my childhood but also is place where community values were instilled in me! My charity is trying to reconnect community values back into everyday life!

It was a pleasure to welcome our local residents of Stansted Abbotts into our historic French & Jupps Malting for the first time!

Having been located here in the village for over 120 years, we consider it a privilege to have so many from our local community, visit, work and socialise on-site at The Maltings Business Centre. However, until recently, the doors to our historic maltings has been closed to the public...

We're delighted to share that this is no longer the case and this week welcomed our group of 12 for a guided tour exploring the history of our maltings, the evolution of our role within the village, local sourcing, and our time-honored process of creating our range of 14 handcrafted Crystal and Patent Malt varieties, used in the brewing, distilling, and food industries.

It was a delight to host Katie Goldthorpe from New River Line Community Rail Partnership, Alan Neville from Greater Anglia, and local council members here at The Maltings!

The New River Line is dedicated to fostering collaboration between local authorities, community groups, and Greater Anglia to enhance the Hertford East to Broxbourne branch line.

Discussed on the visit was recent achievements and we were particularly proud to see showcased the progress made at Stansted Abbotts station, including the installation of artwork supported by & Jupps Malting and The Maltings Business Centre.

A special thanks to Kevin Lampard of Crystal Catering based here at the Maltings for providing a delicious buffet for the occasion!

Did you know the barley used in many craft and cask beers is grown and malted right here in Stanstead Abbotts?

French & Jupps barley is grown within 30 miles, and is used by brewers to create many award-winning beers, whilst minimising environmental impact and supporting our community.

Big shout out to Nat & Henry at The Lounge who celebrate their 3rd year anniversary at The Maltings Business Centre today! 🎉
