Driver Hire London Southeast are looking for experienced LGV1 Drivers, who holds a valid CSCS card and can start a new role as soon as possible.
One of our Scaffolding clients has just moved this week to Darenth Kent and is looking for an ongoing confident and outgoing LGV1 Driver.
As a LGV1 Driver: you will be working 8 to 10 hours each day Monday to Friday, driving a LGV1 Lorry to different destinations. You will at times be asked to help load, unload, and support. Due to the nature of the job this will at times involve heavy lifting. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate as our client will offer the option of becoming a permanent member of staff with them.
Your duties as a LGV1 Driver:
You will be responsible for the delivery of Scaffolding equipment, as well as the loading and at times unloading in and around London as well as surrounding home counties. You will complete all deliveries and paperwork/PDA as well as a daily vehicle defect sheet.
Successful LGV1 Driver will:
• Hold a valid CAT C UK driving licence.
• Hold a valid CPC & TACHO card.
• Have LGV1 driving experience.
• Have no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences - no DR, DD or insurance related offences.
• Hold a valid CSCS card.
• Be physically fit and healthy.
• Able to lift heavy items at times.

Driver Hire London South East are delighted to recruit again on behalf of our well-known and highly respected client for Delivery Drivers, for the ninth year running.

If you are an experienced Van Driver, this would be highly advantageous, although due to the nature of the role, applicants with a retail background will be considered (such as a retail assistant or sales assistant) as strong customer service skills will be integral to your success here.

You will be working over the Christmas period for 8-10 weeks but there will be ongoing opportunities thereafter for the right candidates

You must be flexible to work any 4-6 days of the seven day week and any of the below shifts times:

9am – 1900

12.15 – 22.15

12.15 – 18.15

16.15 – 22.15

Your duties:

You will be responsible for the multi drop delivery of high-end fashion items, including garments and accessories, to the homes of online shoppers, based in London and surrounding home counties. Your role is pivotal to this online retailer’s brand – you are a company ambassador and will be eager to deliver a fantastic, friendly and positive customer experience!

Not only will you play a part in our clients’ success, you will look the part too!

You will be smart in appearance and are required to wear a full black uniform (essential) which includes black trousers, black shoes, black sleeve shirt, black tie, and black plain blazer

The start date for this role is Monday 22nd November 2021

Successful candidates will:

Have held a UK driving licence for a minimum 1 year
Have no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (no DR, DD or insurance related offences)
Be flexible and able to work any of the 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays)
Able to attend an induction to learn more about this fantastic company before commencing your deliveries
Be agreeable to our clients’ random alcohol and drug testing policy.

The assignment rate for this excellent position is £11.40 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, paid weekly. Initially, you will work to support the Christmas sale for two months, however there may be further opportunities thereafter depending on your performance. This role is commutable from London, Greenwich, and Charlton.
