Our Origin of the week is India.
These beautiful beans from Kerala, India are soft, plump, high moisture and full of seeds.
They pack an intense flavour with notes of cacao, butter and toasted hazelnuts. It is a Planifolia Vanilla and therefore goes through the same curing process as Madagascar Vanilla. Killing, steaming, drying and refining.
This vanilla works beautifully in savoury dishes. Beef simmered with the seeds of these gorgeous beans, or scallops drizzled with olive oil infused with Kerala Vanilla.
Definitely adding some variety to your dishes. Keep a look out for some recipes coming to our page very soon.
