Brilliant review of Drawing Down the Moon in The Times Luxx magazine this week. As a romantic teenager, our CEO Gillian McCallum spotted the quirkily-named matchmaking agency in a Private Eye advertisement. Even then, she was struck by the idea of two people, who were totally right for each other, seeing that advert and dialling that number - without which they would never have met.
Years later, in 2016, after a career head-hunting for Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and their private family offices, she bought Drawing Down the Moon from industry pioneer Mary Balfour.
DDM have won so many awards since. More importantly over 40 years we've enabled thousands of people, who would never have met by chance, to form long-lasting relationships.
About 75% of our clients come through referrals - which definitely says something about our success rate. Leonora Field-Foster has captured our spirit when she writes: 'The hardest part is encouraging clients to branch out from their checklist. As McCallum says, “All the evidence suggests that we are terrible at knowing who is right for us.”
What we provide is so personal to the client - an in-depth exploration leads to the best introductions. We know what works: a laser focus on each individual client and their values.
