Shab E Yalda; a night of welcoming. A night of love, light, and rebirth of the sun.
Here is some memories of longest night of the year, Persian Shab E Yalda which is the victory of light over darkness as days begin to lengthen.
Families and friends gather to share food, especially red fruits like pomegranates and watermelons, read poetry (especially Hafez), tell stories, and stay up late to welcome the coming brighter days, celebrating hope, renewal, and community.
