As we settle into the coldest part of the year here in the UK, it’s best to think of far-off lands where the sun is shining. And the best way to do that is by drinking their wines.
Larry Cherubino is an established star of the Australian wine scene, having gained a cult following there and abroad. Coming from a horticultural background, his focus is on nurturing the soil and land on which he works so that he can employ a low intervention approach to his winemaking.

The recent autumn budget confirmed that wine duty is to increase, yet again, in February 2026.
What does this mean for those buying and selling wine? Essentially, the more expensive the wine, the more ‘juice’ you get for your money.
As shown on the Vinonomics graph created by , a wine with a 12.5% abv that costs £7.07, will only have around 62p worth of wine. Whereas a wine with the same abv that costs £20 will have closer to £6.22 worth of wine.
The more you pay, the better wine you get.

Congratulations for being awarded a IWSC 2025 GOLD Winner, with the Oriana Brut 2019 being awarded 95 points!

Oriana is a vintage English sparkling, made with grapes from one of the highest vineyards on the South Downs - and possibly England. This altitude brings a remarkable freshness to the wine, that still has a light oxidative feel and touch of sherbet on the palate.
Made using Traditional Method, it is a blend of 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier.
