Foodie August!

This painting challenge was super fun and whilst not every doodle deserves its own photo (looking at you, apple pie šŸ˜‚), some I really like!

This has definitely given me some ideas and inspiration for a next line of products. I mean, who doesnā€™t love a fried egg?! šŸ³

Hello September šŸ‘‹

Itā€™s been a wild summer. But thereā€™s something I always still love about your arrival. A nice transition between hot and cold that brings a feeling unlike any other month.

This is a real question and maybe something I shouldnā€™t admit in public, considering Iā€™m trying to launch a brand and products that rely on me being an ā€˜artistā€™ā€¦

But I think itā€™s an important part of the journey and one that I hope will become clearer along the way!

There are so many artists whoā€™s work I am drawn to and would love to produce, but how do I use it to inspire my own work without feeling inferior or inadvertently copying a style that I love?

So in the meantime, I hope youā€™re ready to see lots of different styles and subjects on this account!

Iā€™m relying on you to tell me what you like and donā€™t like, or to guide me into a new direction of inspiration!

The absolute glamour of my painting set up šŸ™ŒšŸ˜…

But as long as you have the essentials (coffee as priority), then you can paint anywhere in my opinion!

During the summer, this little spot in the garden has been where Iā€™ve been painting most of my doodles, but I can feel the days of the sofa studio loomingā€¦!

Enjoying every moment of sunshine while I still can, but that makes it tricky to think about painting for Christmas! šŸ˜…

Making time to paint more over the last few months has been an absolute joy!

And with this monthā€™s August Feast challenge from Vanessa Leung šŸŽØsketcher āœļø, Iā€™ve not been short of foodie inspiration šŸ˜

But itā€™s made me think more about what i should paint next and about what really inspires me. Especially with the festive season fast approaching!

I am currently working on ideas for a 2027 calendar, which I hope I can pull off in time! šŸ˜…

If anyone has any ideas for what I should try next, please let me know!

Iā€™ve really enjoyed all of the painting Iā€™ve been trying lately! Currently in the middle of a daily foodie painting challenge, but also tried my hand at some acrylics and a few commissions!
