United Guarding are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who has previous management experience to join our security team at an educational establishment in West London. This position involves managing a small team of security staff, liaison with the on-site client management and also being prepared to act as part of the security team, ensuring the integrity of the site, meeting and greeting Students, staff, contractors and visitors. The hours are 07.00 – 17.00hrs Monday to Friday.
All individuals must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good level of oral and written English and proficient IT skills. Previous experience of managing a front of house team is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the security team is performing in line with the client’s expectations
Communicate with the client daily, ensuring that any concerns are immediately addressed
Conducting security and health and safety risk assessments as required
Writing up work practice procedures
Ensuring that procedures are in place to prevent unauthorised persons accessing the site
Regular patrols of the site are conducted and the team need to ensure that students are in authorised areas only and that health and safety issues are bought to the attention of the FM team
Supporting facilities management team in day to day running of the site
Ensuring that the team provides a concierge level meet and greet service to everyone entering the site. Anticipate and recognise ways to provide excellent customer service to improve the visitor journey.
Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.
Assist student, staff and visitors to the sites, including signing contractors / delivery personnel
Ensuring that no un-authorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur.
Dealing with communications from telephone calls and radio users in a professional manner in accordance with operating procedures
In addition to these functions, the successful candidate will be required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required.
Personal Specification:
Smart and confident with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience of managing a security team, ideally where they were providing a front of house service.
Good level of computer skills
Have a demonstrable and experienced knowledge of the security industry.
Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education.
This is a permanent, full time vacancy
Must hold a security guarding or door supervisor licence
Salary of between £31,200 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) based on working week of 50hrs.
Must have or be prepared to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
