On CAP - Christians Against Poverty UK Sunday, at The Church Of St Peter And St Paul, Olney we have been thinking about those trapped in poverty. Some of the statistics are shocking.

Such as the fact that I in 5 of us are now trapped in poverty and that 1 in 2 of the people who contact CAP for help have considered or attempted su***de. This should not be possible in a compassionate and just society.

Poverty is a thief that robs people of hope and dignity, but Jesus said that he came to give us 'life in all its fullness' (John 10:10). Join the movement now to help end UK poverty ensuring that everyone experiences that fullness of life- not only surviving but thriving

Amazing blessing to be at Christians Against Poverty’s 2024 United Conference in London today. With the election looming there has been a focus on calling all parties to put ending UK poverty and alleviating the impact of the cost of living crisis at the top of their agendas. But today we also celebrated the amazing work done by churches in helping people out of poverty and the way in which God can heal the divides on our society and broken lives. So many inspiring stories from the front line. .

Had a great day with Carl Knightly working on a new 5 year strategy for the City Missions Movement. It’s such a privilege and a blessing to do this kind of Kingdom work, enabling those who serve the least reached in the UK in the midst of this cost of living crisis.
