This is the modern secular face of Islam - you don’t see this often. Good on you . Those of the Islamic faith are often demonised.

I have experienced this myself because of my name also been told that my face does not match my name. Whatever that means......

When you look at some of the top fashion, beauty companies in the creative industries they are headed by white female leaders. One of those reasons is that HR itself is headed by “white female leaders”. Recruiters who serve this industry are also white. This needs to change.

The diversity of your workforce AND your leadership needs to reflect your customer base.

MULTIPLE CASE NUMBERS SOAR AT EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS

Really interesting piece by PERSONNEL TODAY but not that all surprising. We have done a lot of work on restructure, redesign and redundancy recently and one of the first things we picked up on, is that we were called in at the last minute (to clean up). By that point mistakes had been made and we had to focus on damage control.

I am worried says Shaheen Sayed Kadri that in the creative industry and SME space companies are cutting corners and those companies that do have human resource especially in junior stand alone roles are just inexperienced to manage any kind of change initiative.

With the unemployment figures on the rise especially in certain groups, claimants are willing to proceed further with claims as they have more time ,which has been heightened by the difficulties in finding new employment.
