S*k Zo Faan Mei Mail Club - October Mail! 👻 Part 1/5
This month’s inspiration comes from ‘Ghost’. As Halloween approaches, I wanted to revisit the version of the ghost stories I grew up hearing in Hong Kong. And this 1995 film—Out of the Dark (回魂夜)—is my all-time favourite Hong Kong ghost comedy! 🎬
First up in our 4-sticker drop: Ming Jai (名仔) getting possessed by his dead grandmother, fiercely gripping a knife with the classic, spine-chilling line: “我係奶奶” (I am the Grandmother!). 🔪👵🏻 It turned a classic horror trope into pure, terrifyingly hilarious dark comedy.
🛒 HOW TO GET IT:
This sticker is part of the October Mail Club Pack, available exclusively as a limited-edition drop on my Etsy!
⚠️ Deadline to order: from now till October 17th or until sold out.

Growing up without the internet or a mobile phone until my early teens was a true source of joy and creativity. I remember loving stationery shops from the time I was six or seven years old—and to be honest, I still do. I used to get so excited by all the stickers, pencils, and pencil cases. Back then, most girls had a sticker book or two, and we would trade stickers during primary school breaks. Once we hit high school, we began handwriting letters, folding them up, and passing them to our friends between classes. I also fondly remember how, before changing classes in P.3 and after finishing our GCSEs, we would buy a notebook and pass it around. Each friend would write a secret message, seal the pages with tape, and hand it off to the next person. Those memories are incredibly precious and sweet. Even now, I still insist on buying a paper calendar every year—not just to look at, but because I truly love writing down all life’s little bits and bobs.

“S*k Zo Faan Mei” (食咗飯未 / “Have you eaten yet?”) is a classic Hong Kong greeting. Even now, it’s the very first thing my mum asks whenever she calls me. ❤️This month, I’m so excited to launch the S*k Zo Faan Mei Mail Club! 📬I started this project because I wanted to reconnect with physical products and the beautiful, tactile craft of making things by hand. Each month, I’ll be releasing a brand-new series of stationery (think stickers, postcards, art prints, and more!) inspired by themes that deeply resonate with Hong Kong culture—from our comforting food and family life to the little things that make HK so unique. 🇭🇰✨I can’t wait to share this journey with you. Check the link in my bio to join the club! 💌 slowmail
