£25 for 4 Plates — Luxury Fine Dining From My Own Kitchen 🐙✨

Who says a beautiful, restaurant-style meal has to come with an expensive bill?

A little imagination, cravings and smart savings turned a simple trip to my local fish market into a luxury fine-dining experience right in my own kitchen.

I bought 2 small-to-medium fresh octopus for £15. I first boiled them with salt, garlic and lemon, then grilled them in olive oil with a little butter until beautifully finished.

For the plate, I created a creamy base of beetroot, yogurt and goat’s cheese, topped it with the grilled octopus, and served it alongside a boiled jacket potato and grilled zucchini cut into curled, flat strips. A slice of grilled buttered onion completed the dish.

And the best part? Four complete plates cost around £25 altogether.

🌊✨ What a beautiful journey home today.

The route took me along some breathtaking coastal scenery, where rolling hills meet dramatic sea views and the fresh ocean breeze fills the air. Moments like these have a way of making you pause, take it all in, and appreciate the simple things that often go unnoticed.✨

Life can get busy, and it’s easy to focus on what’s next. But sometimes, the greatest gift is being present enough to enjoy the view that’s right in front of you😍

Creating a lifestyle with more flexibility has allowed me to appreciate these moments even more. Not because life is perfect, but because I’ve learned to value time, freedom, and experiences over constantly being in a rush.👏

🇵🇭 Yesterday, I proudly celebrated Philippine Independence Day while reflecting on the journey that brought me from the Philippines to the United Kingdom.

As a former nurse, migrant worker, and now digital entrepreneur, I carry with me the values deeply rooted in Filipino culture—resilience, compassion, hard work, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

These values have guided me throughout my healthcare career and continue to shape how I serve and support people in the digital space today.

The Philippines is known not only for its beautiful islands and rich traditions but also for its people—recognised worldwide for their warmth, empathy, dedication, and strong sense of community. These qualities have allowed Filipinos to make meaningful contributions across the globe, including in healthcare, education, business, and leadership.

While I am grateful for the opportunities and life I have built in the UK, I remain proud of my Filipino heritage and the lessons it has taught me about perseverance, service, and hope.

Our roots are not something we leave behind. They are part of the foundation upon which we build our future.
