Raising Your Game

Raising Your Game Welcome to Raising Your Game, a UK Training, Coaching and Consultancy provider based in London! How well are you Raising Your Game?

As we consider our journey to be a game within games, all contributing to the biggest game known to all, life…. Knowing that some rules are set in advance, we live life seeking to review, challenge and create new rules. As and when we notice any rules not fulfilling our values or purpose, we either adapt or choose a new game. As we all know, one constant on this rock flying through space is ‘chang

e’. Utilising a curious outlook, our dynamic team of behavioural change specialists maximise daily opportunities to learn, integrate and apply new found knowledge. With flexibility in our approach, we have a strong desire to create freedom of choice. Last but not least, it is nice to know that ‘success’ is blind and does not care who you are.... meaning that the introduction of effective behaviours daily will allow anyone to create their own success. 🥳 Raising Your Game turns 10 today 🥳

10 years ago, Raising Your Game was just an idea, built on a belief, an energy, and a willingness to start.

What I didn’t fully appreciate at the time was that this journey wouldn’t just be about building a business, it would be about the people who became part of it.

Because over a decade, you learn that:

✨️ Consistency quietly outperforms intensity.
✨️ Relationships open more doors than strategy alone.
✨️ Staying true to your values matters more than quick wins.
✨️ And growth comes from the moments that stretch you most.

But more than anything, you realise you don’t do it alone 🤝

To everyone who’s been part of Raising Your Game in any way.... clients, collaborators, supporters, advocates, or even those who’ve followed the journey quietly... Thank You!

You’ve helped shape what RYG has become, and that’s something I’m incredibly grateful for.

So this milestone isn’t just a reflection, it’s a recognition.

Here’s to continued growth, meaningful impact, and the next chapter, together.

Developing consistent habits can be challenging, but with the right approach, it's definitely achievable. Here are the top three tips to help you establish and maintain consistent habits:

1. Start Small and Gradually Increase:
One of the most common mistakes people make when trying to develop a new habit is attempting to do too much too soon. Instead, start with a small, manageable goal that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine. For example, if you want to start exercising regularly, begin with just 10 minutes of light exercise every day. Once this becomes a natural part of your routine, gradually increase the intensity or duration. Starting small allows you to build momentum and makes it easier to stay consistent in the long run.

2. Create a Routine and Set a Schedule:
Consistency is often best achieved when you have a routine and a set schedule. Designate specific times for your habit each day, and try to stick to them as closely as possible. This helps train your brain to expect and prepare for the habit at those times, making it easier to follow through. It's essential to choose a time that works well with your existing commitments and lifestyle. If your habit is tied to a particular trigger (e.g., after breakfast, before bed), it becomes even more automatic.

3. Accountability and Tracking Progress:
Accountability can significantly impact your ability to stay consistent. Share your habit goals with a friend, family member, or join a community with similar objectives. Having someone to check in on your progress and offer support or encouragement can keep you motivated and committed. Additionally, tracking your progress can be incredibly helpful. Use a habit tracker, journal, or mobile app to record your daily efforts. Seeing your streaks and progress can provide a sense of accomplishment and push you to keep going.

Remember that developing consistent habits takes time and patience. It's normal to have occasional slip-ups, but what matters most is getting back on track as soon as possible. Celebrate your successes, learn from any setbacks, and continue working towards your goals with determination and perseverance.

Raising Your Game is 8 years young today 🥳🍾

As they say, to be successful, you have to have your heart in your business and your business in your heart, as if you don't build your own dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs.

Here's my top 5 key learnings that have remained invaluable over the years:

1. Believe in yourself and leverage your strengths.
2. Always be learning to continuously improve.
3. Surround yourself with people who challenge, inspire, and want the best for you.
4. Don't allow unsupportive opinions of others distract you from your goal/purpose.
5. Trust the process and commit to progress over perfection.

As always, a HUGE THANK YOU to EVERY client, collaborator, friend, and family member who has worked with me, supported me, and positively impacted my journey so far. You are all appreciated 🙏🏼

Right, I'm off to see if I can get that payrise request approved 😉

As 2023 comes to a close, a new exciting year awaits.

Whether you achieved your plans in 2023 or not, the year is now a part of your history and only acts as a useful point of reference.

2024 will be whatever you make it, through the choices you create, decisions you make, and actions you take.

Thank you to each and every person who has worked with me, engaged with me, and supported me throughout 2023.

Here's to 2024, wishing you and your loved ones all the best for the year ahead!

What do you do when you're faced with a problem?

Below are a few thoughts to consider when resolving a problem.

1) Are you trying to resolve a problem whilst entertaining a problematic state of mind (the same part of the mind that created the problem)?

Find a way to look at the problem objectively (from a different perspective) and adopt a solution led mindset.

2) Is the problem really about what it is about?

Most people fall into the trap of dealing with the symptom of a problem, rather than the root cause.

Your approach must be to deal with the root cause for longer lasting sustainable results.

So, next time you're faced with a problem, consider the above points first.

Know your worth and don't settle for any less!

Sometimes you have to be willing to say no, stand your ground or walk away to avoid others from holding you back, disrespecting your values or taking advantage of your good nature.

Treat yourself well and you will increase your worth.
