However, we’re finding that skippers, chief engineers and shoreside teams are increasingly concerned about their vessels’ cyber risk exposure.

Cheap satellite connectivity, high staff turnover and an ‘invisible fleet’ of unregulated devices are all upping the risk.

There’s an urgent need for cyber security best practice to become mandatory for every class of vessel.
