LSE Sibling blog, United by LSE 🌍

Federica Petrini & Luca Petrini 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Separated by countries, united by their formative experience at LSE. In this blog, Luca Petrini and Federica Petrini reflect on their studies in the Department of Management.

“We both came to LSE with the idea of building bridges between different fields.”

For Luca, the decision came after studying Chemistry. He wanted to move towards a role with commercial impact and was looking for a way to complement his analytical background with a broader understanding of how businesses operate. For Federica, the motivation was to connect an interest in psychology with a deeper understanding of organisations. The MSc Human Resources and Organisations programme offered the opportunity to explore how people and behaviour shape businesses while grounding those ideas in solid academic research.

We are excited to share a brand-new optional Work Placement Pathway for our Master's in Management (MiM).

“What’s one skill that LSE gave you that you use every day?”

At our 130th Anniversary Department of Management Student and Alumni Networking event, which brought together students, alumni, and staff for an evening of connection, conversation, and reflection.

We asked members of our community to reflect on the skills they gained at LSE and continue to use in their work and lives today, from critical thinking and confidence to collaboration and curiosity.
