๐ Understanding O Licence Exemptions ๐ซ
Did you know that not all vehicles require an operator's licence? Here are some exemptions you should know about:
๐น Pre-1977 Vehicles: Vehicles first used before 1977, with an unladen weight of 1,525 kilograms or less, and a maximum gross plated weight over 3,500 kilograms are exempt.
๐น Short Distance Travel: Vehicles traveling less than 6 miles a week between private premises of the same owner are exempt, excluding those used for excavation or demolition.
๐น Trade Plates and Passenger Carrying Vehicles: Vehicles using trade plates or functioning as passenger-carrying vehicles are exempt from needing an operator's licence.
๐น Special Categories: Certain vehicles like military vehicles, emergency service vehicles, and agricultural vehicles under specific conditions are also exempt.
However, remember that some vehicles are never exempt from needing an operator's licence. These include:

๐ฅ Mobile Medical Screening Vehicles: Units providing medical screening or testing services.
๐ Vehicles with Fixed Equipment: Vehicles carrying goods not strictly for use in connection with that equipment, or towing a trailer carrying goods.
